“Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults” is the process by which someone can receive the sacraments and become a member of the Catholic Church.
Do any of these situations apply to you?
- You were baptized Catholic but have not completed one or more of these sacraments: Reconciliation (Confession), Eucharist (communion), and/or Confirmation?
- You were baptized in another faith tradition, but you are interested in becoming Catholic.
- You’ve never been baptized (or you are not sure if you were baptized), but you are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church.
- You are married to a Catholic and attend Mass, but just don’t know what the next step is to become Catholic.
If you answered “YES” to any of these scenarios, then R.C.I.A. is for you!
Participation in R.C.I.A. is free to all who are interested and attending the sessions does not imply a commitment on your part to join the Catholic Church. It is an invitation to learn what the Catholic Church teaches.
