This ministry shows great reverance for the Most Holy Eucharist. Eucharistic Ministers agree to serve the Church the Body and/or Blood of Christ during Mass and/or with those who are sick and homebound. They strive to be worthy of the great office cultivating devotion to the Holy Eucharist and be a good example for reverence for the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. All ministers of Holy Communion should show their greatest reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist by their demeanor, their attire, and their way of handling the Body and Blood of Christ.
If you are 16 years of age or older and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation, and would like to be appointed as a Eucharistic Minister, there is a workshop that you must attend. For more information on being appointed as a Eucharistic Minister, please call the church office at 337-235-0272.
